Crunchy, creamy, sweet tasting macadamia nuts are one of my favorite snacks, but it wasn’t until today that I tried them in a smoothie. My mistake.

This smoothie combines two of my favorite nutrient dense superfoods, cacao and spirulina. Add in some fresh fruit and a few other ingredients and you’ve got a delicious and highly nutritious superfood smoothie.
Hemp seeds are a potent superfood worth incorporating into your smoothies and diet. I don’t consume as much hemp as I did during my vegan days, but do still enjoy hemp seeds in my smoothies and sprinkled on salads and other dishes from time to time.
