Chocolate Smoothies

Without a doubt this is my favorite category of smoothie recipes. I must confess I have a weakness for chocolate. Thankfully, cacao (raw chocolate) is one of the healthiest superfoods you can add to your smoothie. I hope you enjoy these chocolate smoothie recipes as much as I do.

Chocolate Frosty Smoothie

Chocolate Frosty SmoothieOne of my favorite treats growing up was a chocolate Wendy’s frosty. I can’t remember the last time I had one (at least 5 years), but still secretly crave them :)

Chocolate Strawberry Spirulina Smoothie

Chocolate Strawberry Spirulina SmoothieThis smoothie combines two of my favorite nutrient dense superfoods, cacao and spirulina. Add in some fresh fruit and a few other ingredients and you’ve got a delicious and highly nutritious superfood smoothie.

Here are a few of the health benefits coffee has to offer.

Greek Yogurt SmoothiesThere aren’t many smoothie ingredients better than thick, creamy, and healthy Greek yogurt.

When you strain the liquid whey, lactose, and sugar from regular yogurt you’re left with the thick and creamy goodness known as Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt has roughly the same amount of calories as regular yogurt, but it contains about twice as much protein (6-ounce serving contains 15 to 20 grams) with half the sugar content.

Most health experts agree that it’s much healthier than regular yogurt.
