The inspiration for this recipe came from someone who emailed me asking that I create a healthy Snickerdoodle smoothie recipe. I searched the internet for recipes and found they were all quite unhealthy because of suspect ingredients and way too much sugar!

When the cold weather sets in I naturally turn to warmer food and drink such as soup, stew, broth, and tea. A cold smoothie is just not appealing.

There’s nothing like a warm, creamy, chocolaty elixir to start your day, especially when it’s chilly outside. I love my smoothies, but once winter sets in here in Michigan I change gears and blend up elixirs to ensure I have the best day ever.
This is what I call a “thickie”. It’s so dense you may need to eat with a spoon…right from your blender.
